The final show.
The care and commitment to our participants and mentors in this difficult year is important to be played out and transparent. We take the seriousness of the spread of this deadly virus extremely seriously and have cut no corners in making sure everyone involved is safe during the program. The program has been restructured from the ground up to facilitate absolutely no interaction between bands effectively isolating everyone from any potential spread. Our final show does have every band performing on a stage in front of cameras. However, between each band, the disposable microphone covers were replaced, all stage equipment was sanitized and the occupancy of the building was drastically minimized.
The music goes on, but we go on smart and with a plan. I'm proud of our mentors and participants for respecting and adhering to all guidelines set fourth to prevent spread. you may see some bands not wearing masks in the final performance, many of them have chosen to be family to continue practice but have isolated from anyone else, many others only remove masks to sing the set then immediately put them back on when the cameras stop.
To us there is nothing more important than the health and safety of our participants and mentors, restructuring this program has been expensive and time consuming but worth it to keep the music alive. please consider donating to Ted Brown Music Outreach here: https://www.tbmoutreach.org
